Les Perruches
AOP Touraine Côt/Malbec : cuvée « Les Perruches »*
Grape variety : 100 % Côt or Malbec
Winemaking : : Initially put into concrete vats, maceration from 5 to 7 days with daily pumping over to extract aromas and colour. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation at 24°C. Ageing in old oak barrels for 6 months for part of the final blending.
Tasting : A red wine with a deep ruby color. The nose is a mix of morello cherry, cinnamon and liquorice. It is round, powerful and spicy on the palate with silky tannins.
Tasting advice : To be drunk between 14 and 16 °C. Can be kept for up to 5 years and goes particularly well with red meat, game and strong cheeses.
* This wine is only available in bottles. We offer a similar wine called “L’Alliance” in Bag In Box, which is a blend of Côt (malbec) and Cabernet, but without ageing in oak barrels.
